  • Local Storage: Your extension settings, site profiles, form data templates, and API keys are stored locally in your browser's storage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to sync it.
  • Encryption: All data transmitted between the extension and our servers is encrypted using TLS/SSL protocols.

While we strive to protect your personal information, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but are committed to maintaining commercially acceptable security standards.

4. Third-Party Services

LinkNest integrates with the following third-party services to deliver our product functionality:

  • Creem: Serves as our Merchant of Record, handling payment processing, license key generation, and subscription management. Creem processes your payment information in accordance with PCI-DSS compliance standards.
  • Cloudflare: Provides hosting, CDN, and security services for our website and API infrastructure. Cloudflare may process request data for performance optimization and threat mitigation.
  • Google AI / OpenAI: Powers the AI-driven features of LinkNest, such as smart form filling and blog comment generation. These services are only activated when you provide your own API key through the BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) feature. Your prompts and generated content are sent directly from your browser to the AI provider and are not routed through our servers.

Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review their policies to understand how they handle your data. We carefully select partners who maintain high standards of data protection and security.

5. AI Features and BYOK (Bring Your Own Key)

LinkNest offers AI-powered features including smart form filling, blog comment generation, and intelligent field mapping. These features operate under the BYOK model, which means:

  • You provide your own API key for Google AI or OpenAI services.
  • Your API key is stored locally in your browser and is never transmitted to our servers.
  • AI requests are sent directly from your browser to the respective AI provider's API endpoint.
  • We do not log, store, or have access to the content of your AI requests or responses.
  • Usage of AI features is subject to the respective provider's terms of service and privacy policy.

By using the AI features, you acknowledge that the data you submit to AI providers is governed by their respective privacy policies. We recommend reviewing Google's and OpenAI's data handling practices before using these features.

6. Cookies and Tracking

Our website may use minimal cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:

  • Essential Cookies: Required for the website to function properly, such as language preferences and session management.
  • Analytics Cookies: Used to understand how visitors interact with our website, helping us improve the user experience. All analytics data is anonymized.

The LinkNest browser extension itself does not use cookies. Extension data is stored using the browser's local storage API, which remains on your device.
